TEXAS FIGHT!

Finally, an update!

Taekwondo classes this week 2/18-2/23...Will be held at Bellmont in the Martial Arts room located on the 9th floor in room 904. Call any of your team captains if you get lost or call me 713.894.8887

After this week, classes will resume at the Rec Center Martial Arts room Tues Thurs 8-10pm

Some REMINDERS:

-fundraising fundraising fundraising. Collegiates is just 63 days away folks. Get with your team captains and ask them about raising more money for your ticket to California.

-all you lazy folk who haven't been going to class because of "tests" need to get kicking again. We miss kicking/(getting kicked by) you!

-Last call for t-shirt designs. We will be voting early next week so if you have any last minute designs/suggestions get them in this week.

-HUGE training session the weekend of March 1st. Tony along with many other fighters from around Texas/Louisiana will be coming in to kick. This is mandatory for all team members and definitely recommended to all club members.

-Next Tuesday is "Bring a Friend To Class Day" All team members are mandated to bring at least one friend to class. If you have no friends, bring your roommate. If you have no roommate, find someone in your classes. If you have no classes, you shouldn't be here at the University. Get a job.

2007 National Collegiate Tournament this weekend!

Hello Texas, the event we've all been waiting for is has arrived. This weekend, March 31st your Texas Taekwondo Competition Team will be fighting against numerous schools from across the nation including powerhouses like California Berkley, Florida, and Texas' own fighting Aggies. We have been training for this moment since October. Training consisted of running, bleachers, tkd, sprints, weight lifting, and our favorite, tire-pulling 7 days a week has really challenged these fighters mentally and as well as physically. (If you haven't seen any of the people lately, this is why)But the time has now come to show the nation that burnt orange should be feared not only on the football field, but in the ring. If you see or know any of these fighters, wish them luck, but they won't need it.
